About This Spot

Walking into Brick & Barrel Kitchen + Bar feels like discovering a friendly gathering place where the pace gently slows and the hum of conversation blends with clinking glasses and the occasional burst of laughter. Nestled on Joiner Parkway in Lincoln, this spot strikes a comfortable balance between a spirited brewpub and a laid-back neighborhood kitchen, inviting you to settle in without rush. Whether you’re drawn by the warm glow of the fire pits on the enclosed patio or the lively bar seating inside, it’s a place made for feeling at ease while the menu quietly unfolds around you.

The atmosphere here is thoughtfully unpretentious, with brick walls and open spaces that encourage connection—whether that’s a lively date night or a casual feast with friends. The bartenders, often multitasking with a warmth that feels genuine, add a personal touch, reminding you that local spots like these thrive on care as much as on good food and drink.

Speaking of the menu, it’s less about ticking boxes and more about sharing thoughtful combinations that surprise and satisfy. Imagine the comfort of a pizza topped with crispy onion rings bringing a playful twist, or the refreshment of a minty raspberry mojito crafted with balance and intent. Salads, sandwiches, and snacks come with a sense of generosity—the kind that makes you linger a little longer over each bite or sip. And for those moments when you want to indulge, an adult take on a root beer float becomes more than a dessert; it’s a conversation starter.

Brick & Barrel doesn’t rush you through your visit, and neither should you rush it. It’s the kind of place that welcomes patience, where good things come to those who stay and soak in the hum of local life. Whether the bartender is gracefully balancing multiple roles or the patio calls for a quiet moment by a fire pit, here you find a blend of thoughtful service and honest flavors that feels less like dining out and more like arriving home.

Brick and Barrel does not disappoint. The food is always on point. On the day of our visit the bartender was the only front of the house staff on duty. He had to put on the host and waiter hat, as well as hold down the bar. He did an excellent job. Our only job was to be patient and enjoy our time there. Highly recommend.

Such a good local find! Not only was the food great (I recommend the salad that comes with the coarser sandwich—apples and candied walnuts!), but the portions are huge. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. (I accidentally made eye contact and was immediately checked on.) Raspbery mojito was gloriously minty, so you can be assured that the cocktails menu is just as well thought out as the beer selection. Other important notes: plenty of parking, good air conditioning, and lots of space for families as well as for bar patrons. There were a few games on the tvs in the bar, and people were avidly watching, but the sound was off so that non-sports-fans could enjoy the atmosphere in peace. If you’re looking for a local place and think the menu looks good, give this one a try. (Note on photo: there’s a whole other room behind the wall, doubling the size.)

Great local restaurant bar in Lincoln. Friendly staff. Great pizza and food. Happy Hour is a must. They even make an adult Root Beer Float which is delicious adult treat.

Brick & Barrel Kitchen and Bar is located in the Jointer parkway center. On the outside, you'll see a brick-and-mortar building with an enclosed fence. The inside is spacious and open, with bar seating and tall tables. There is a large, enclosed patio with additional seating and fire pits. They specialize in pizza and beer on tap. This is a great date spot, since they offer several fun events during the week. Such as, trivia night on Thursday at 6:00 p.m., karaoke on Tuesday from 8:00 p.m. to close, brunch on Saturday and happy hour is Monday through Friday from 2 to 6 pm. The BBQ pizza was one of the best I've had in a long time. I would recommend this establishment open up the patio area during business hours, with weather permitting, for customers that would like to get away from the TVs and noise. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY.

Can't say how much I love this place! Their food is delicious and well balanced with flavors. I've had their rodeo BBQ pizza which is fun because it has onion rings on it. My absolute favorite item though is the caprese sandwhich with a side salad, its so good that I never get a picture of it because I eat it as soon as I get it. I do like adding my own basil to it though, because it's even better that way. I did try the Cali Club which the chicken was perfectly cooked, you get super melt cheese, with creamy avocado, crunchy crispy bacon, fresh lettuce and cold tomatoes, all on a PRETZEL bun no less. It is so good. Plus they have beer and they have bar items to order mixed drinks, the staff is awesome and super friendly. Highly recommend!!!

Food was really good. Bar food but leveled up. Clean and fun atmosphere. Service was great. Friendly, helpful. Pictures don't really do the food justice.

My grilled chicken sandwich was so flavorful I seriously want to know what they used to marinate it!?!?? Salad was yummy too. Mimosa flight was cool Someone ordered breakfast pizza on the brunch menu and said it was delicious! Went in with a large party really enjoyed how they shut the big door to cut off the noise from the bar. Mackenzie gave us AWESOME service
